your mistakes don't define you

RANDOM POST (my blog is still alive?!)

Please note the following: this is most likely a one time thing, but please, just realize how ecstatic I am!

This evening, at 7:36pm, I got on google and just happened to scan my favorites bar at the top of the screen, and what did I see? “Wordjunkie” in all its glory. I thought to myself for a minute. I said goodbye to this blog, do I even deserve to see if its still alive? Do I even deserve to click that link? I told myself, probably not. I couldn’t even remember if I’d deleted this blog or not! What kind of person am I?!

But I decided to be just a little selfish, and click on the link. And WHAT?! I didn’t delete it, every piece of content that I shared with the world is still here, and all of my amazing followers as well!

And that made me happy. It made me excited.

Now, granted, I still don’t deserve this blog, or any of its followers. I was very inconstant, unloyal and extremely bad at following through.

I’ll be starting a new blog and starting over. I love blogging, and I think that it could be a part of my future in a big way.

Now, all that being said, I’m not going to leave a link to my new blog. I don’t deserve to ask any of you to follow me. If you really think you want to, you’re welcome to email me, but I don’t want to seem like I’m pressuring any of you to do it. My email won’t be up forever, so if you want to talk, don’t be shy.

My new blog will be different. I’ll post a much bigger variety of things, and I’m excited to. It’s going to be hard to get started though. This post has been typed out in record time, but I feel comfortable here. But even so, I won’t be coming back to Wordjunkie. This is an exclusive post, so please know it’s special to me. And I hope it’s special to all of you as well.

So long,

Wordjunkie xx

One of Us is Lying – book review

Overall, I really liked this book, even though it had a few disappointments.

If it were a movie, I would rate it PG13 for brief language, some sexual content and suggestive comments.

But here lately I have gotten into mystery/thrillers and this one was really good and suspenseful. Every turn of the next page brought a new question and different suspects.

The writing was neatly worded and made it that much better to read, so coodoe’s to the author for that.

It was a really good read and definitely one I would recommend to anyone who’s ready for a case to crack.

Sorry for the short post/review!
All the best,

The Book Blogger Test

Thank you an extraordinary girl in an ordinary world

for nominating me for this tag! I haven’t been posting and so maybe this will help me get back on track.

RULES:1. Thank the person who nominated you and add a link to their blog

  1. Answer the ten questions asked on this post

  2. Nominate at least five people to do it also
4. Let your nominees know you nominated them

  1. It drives me insane when book one is a cliff hangar and book two is by a totally different persons POV and has nothing to do or doesn’t even mention the first book.

  2. I guess my second thing would be lots of bad language. I try to stay as far away from cursing as I can simply because I don’t like it, and it’s never good to become too comfortable with it.

  3. Third would definitely be inappropriate intimate scenes. It’s hard finding books without them these days so I normally just skip over them and continue reading. It makes me mad that people think you have to have language and romance scenes for it to be a good book!

Hhmm, probably my bed or the couch. I read a lot on the couch when I first wake up, but a lot on my bed when I go to bed, and they’re both really comfy.

  1. I read the second series of Percy Jackson before I read the first. …oops?

  2. I have several books on my shelf that I’ve had forever but haven’t even started reading.

  3. I turned one of my books into a black out poem journal.

I don’t remember the exact time but the book was Planet Urth: TheUnderground City.

Just one right now, the one I’m currently reading.

most definitely fruit loops.

  1. Percy Jackson by Rick Rioridan, the mind jackers series by Susan Kaye Quinn, and Unenchanted by Chanda Hahn

I don’t currently have one

My stress reliever.

I can’t really think of one…

I nominate

(Late) Spring Cleaning

Worst Sleeping Schedule – Jirah Merizz

Have fun everyone!

For lack of what to post

I haven’t posted for about 3 weeks, yikes! In my defense, things have been extremely busy here. So not having time to write, I unfortunately can’t do “The Post With No Name” this week. So for now, I’m going to share some of my recent art work and photography!

This was the sunset from my bedroom window😍☀️
Someone once told me, “Be happy for life and not for strife. For God gave us life but the world gave us strife.”
It took me forever to capture this but I was determined.😂
Foggy mountains after a rain. #blessedtolivewhereido
Cloudy/sunny day🌤
Dramatic photo shoot with the dogs!

Ok I’m making myself stop uploading pictures now. So I did a lot more photography than art but oh well, I’m just going to publish this before I find more pictures I want to post!

All the best,

Marry Me

I found a writing prompt on Pinterest today and couldn’t help but write something with it!

I looked my best friend in the eyes. “You’re serious?”

“No, Emma, I’m kidding. Of course I’m serious!”

Jasper rolled his eyes at me. “Trust me, it is ewe, but think about the chances of it happening! Come on, it’ll be fun.”

I thought about what he said, and with a great sigh, I agreed. “Fine, it’s a deal.”

A smug grin broke out across his face. “What exactly is a deal, now?” He said.

Jasper had always been one for making deals, getting in trouble and creating long term dares. With a glare, I spoke. “That if neither of us is engaged or married by the time we’re twenty five,we’ll marry each other.”

The memory rushes in and out of my mind as yet another boyfriend dumps me at the dinner table.

I’m actually thinking about continuing this story and having Jasper actually be in love with her now, and he serectly ruins all of her dates and relationships so they’ll get married.

It could be a really good and funny contemporary!

What do you think?

All the best,

All the best,

The Post With No Name

I’ve been debating whether or not to make this post, but I finally talked myself into it. The only problem I had was finding a name, as you can tell. So I just settled on The Post With No Name. Classy? Right. In this post I will be sharing some of my book: characters, paragraph/”sneak peeks”, and stuff like that.

I hope you enjoy!

We’ll start with my characters. I already had them figured out, but I like having a more visual of what they look like. So to Pinterest I go and find some pictures that look semi like my characters!

This is my MC. She is spunky while soft, caring and sometimes lonely. Give this girl (in the picture above) deep amber eyes and that’s her!

Can be immature but can be serious in times of need. Is funny, has a mysterious past and can get on your nerves.

I love him so much! He’s adorable and sweet and you just can’t help but love him and feel for him! Give this boy green eyes and he is Greg all over!

Bad attitude, crazy past, can make you mad but there’s a side that peaks through that you like. This picture is definitely her!

-Sneak peeks-

“Weeds climb up the banisters and a broken wind chime blows in the cool breeze, hitting a rusty hanging flower pot full of useless dirt and dead vines. It almost looks creepy against the gloomy background. I picture an old woman living here, watching her grandchildren play in the lush green lawn that’s now grown over with knee high weeds. The rain begins to come down harder, splashing in puddles, soaking our clothes. Lighting flashes overhead and thunder rumbles in the distance. We quicken our pace and hurry to the house, running up the porch steps and jumping over a small pile of glass from a busted front window.”

“Greg raises a small hand to rub his eyes and speaks through a yawn, ‘I don’t wanna walk anymore.’ I watch Andrew from the corner of my eye as we walk. I see the worry on his face, he looks tired. His eyes are constantly moving, scanning the fields, looking behind us. Always searching for any sign of movement. I pat Greg’s shoulder and ruffle his messy hair. ‘Hang tight, buddy. It won’t be much longer,’ I lie.”

“I wake to a pair of ice blue eyes staring down at me and I jolt upright, reaching for my gun. It’s not there. I look back to the person, fear curling in my stomach at the sight of her pale hand gripping my gun.”

I’m starting to write more often and more seriously now. My goal is 2000 words a day, and I do my best to get that done. Even though I wish my book was already finished when I started it last year, I’m glad that I put it off. I am more experienced in writing now and I have a better idea of what I want.

I’m hoping to do more of “The Post With No Name”…maybe turn it into a mini series and share a little bit of my book every week or so with stuff like this!

Please share your thoughts on my writing in the comments!

All the best,

INSTAGRAM. Wordjunkie is now a part of the “crowd”

I’ve been asked by several bloggers, “what’s your instagram?” And I have to tell them I don’t have one, and because of that, possibly lose a chance at gaining more followers.

But good news! Wordjunkie is now a part of instagram! No, not twitter yet, I might get there later on but this is still progress. So please, if you have an instagram account go give me a follow and stay updated!

You can find me here!

Thanks guys😊
